Online B2B Lead Generation

From the warm climbs of Mexico City, Mexico to the cooler lands of Calgary, Alberta businesses are using the Internet to advance their business models and successes. The Internet is a unique resource for creation of sales leads and connecting with customers, called B2C sales, and other businesses, B2B sales, all around the world. As an owner, or web developer, for a company there are many things that can be done on your website to help generate business leads and bring customers and business to your site and through the site to your company. Some of these methods are as follows:

• Use of auto responders
• Generation of free reports
• Offerings included in, or just after, registration forms
• Creation of opt in mailing lists
• Business to business referrals

Many of these methods tie closely together as can be seen by taking each in more detail.

Autoresponders

Autoresponders are software packages that are created to automatically respond to input from any customer, fellow business owner or otherwise. The job of the autoresponder can be as simple as acknowledging receipt of information from the user and providing future contact information, or can be as complex as monthly mailings. Once a customer has show interest in your business it is critical that they are kept returning to the website, whether it is for information, offers or contests. An autoresponder can help you to keep track of leads automatically in a much more efficient way than manual tracking.

Free Reports

The offering of free services is a powerful marketing tool for bringing customers to your company website. Many sites use offerings of credit reports, personal profiles, horoscopes and such to encourage users to come to their site. The initial report is free, but then can be used to link into services and products that the company stands to make a profit on. In order to best use this type of lead generator you must determine what on your site can be appropriately connected to a free offer. What is your base product and therefore what branches can spring from it. Don't be tempted to use a free report that is completely unrelated to your product as this will more likely result in the user clicking away from the site once they have the report they want, instead of looking more deeply into your offerings.

Registration Offerings

These leads generally tie into a sign up or registration form. This form may be a registration for a forum or in order to receive a report, catalog or other company service. At the end of the registration form offerings can be made for other services or products that the user can opt in for, sometimes at a much decreased price, as part of registration. For example a site on photography might use a registration offering to give users a year's subscription to their photography magazine with a 15% discount if it is signed up for as part of the registration process. Like the free report these offerings need to tie into your company's product or services so that a connection between the product and the company is maintained, bringing the customer, no matter if it is an individual or a company, back for future references or purchases.

Opt In Mailing Lists

Mailing lists are a well prove and very valuable way to keep in touch with other businesses and customers and to quickly get word out to interested parties about promotions, sales, new product lines and changes in business. The temptation with such lists is to purchase lists from other businesses and flood businesses and individuals with your company information. This is a danger as such mailings are often classified as junk mail or spam mail and can result in your site being blocked by various ISPs at the request of their users. Better than purchasing unfocused lists is to allow for users to opt in to the mailing list. Provided a link where users can register for a newsletter or other company mailing list and then focus your efforts to these parties, who have already shown interest in you and your product.

Business to Business Referrals

Of all leads you can generate, none hold the sway as positive word of mouth and referrals from other trusted businesses in similar or related fields. Many businesses are willing to exchange referral links or articles in exchange for the same kind of reference from your site back to theirs. These links can create a powerful symbiotic relationship between companies in order to exchange goods and services both between businesses, and in bringing in outside customers to both. Often these referrals are not difficult to obtain, as other businesses are just as eager as you are. Be sure that any company you give a referral to is a company that is reputable and will keep your customers as happy as you keep them as your referral ties you to this alternate company in the mind of your customers and other businesses and you wish to keep the impression of your business as positive as possible.

While these methods are by far not the only ways to generate online leads they are some of the most frequently used, and, by far, the most effective in the current online community. The online market space is only going to increase and companies that wish to work strongly with other businesses and their consumer base must take advantage of this space if they wish to succeed!

If you don' t have a list or a website, the best and easiest way to start your home based Internet business is to be an affiliate.
An affiliate, is someone who is selling other' s product.

The Right Way to Mass-Submit your Article

Submitting articles to article directories is often a tedious process that involves author registration, proper formatting, and familiarity with the editorial guidelines set by each publisher. There are now hundreds of article directories that cater to both the general and niche markets. Because of the desire of authors to get their articles published on as many places as possible and the sheer number of article directories on the web, some authors have turned to automated submission software and third-party submission services to hasten the submission process.

The use of third-party submission agents presents an ethical problem. While some article directories don't care how articles are submitted to them, as long as the articles meet their editorial guidelines, many rely on authors as a major source of traffic to their sites. They want you, the author, to browse their sites, read their submission guidelines, and become a regular visitor to their sites in return for distributing your article.

Any article directory that cares about the quality of articles they publish will spend some time to review each submitted article before publishing it. As an article publisher myself, I can attest to the work involved in reviewing, reformatting, and correcting minor errors of every article submitted to me. Since I get hundreds of submissions every day, I am forced to reject any articles that appear as if they've been submitted by a third party or through an automated submission process.

It's not exactly rocket science to distinguish between an article submitted by hand and one submitted through an automated process. The software-submitted article may be improperly formatted, suggesting that the submitter never bothered to read the submission guidelines before submitting their article. It may be missing a required field, or it may be submitted to the wrong category. Different article sites stipulate different guidelines and requirements for what they accept. It's not possible for an automated submitter to take into account all of these differences to allow you to submit to several hundred directories with a few clicks of the mouse button.

Many article publishers do not even allow manual submissions by third-party submission services. A common telltale sign that an article has been submitted through a third-party service is when a single author account is used to submit multiple articles with different resource boxes. Submissions from multiple author accounts from a single IP address are another indication of third-party submission.

Any software program that promises to "do 99% of the work for you" does nothing more than spamming your article all over the web. Some of these spam machines even post a link along with your article back to the submission software. This is a sure-fire way to get your article rejected and even get you banned from some directories.

Ideally, authors should submit their articles by hand. Meanwhile, there is an understandable need for a way to quickly submit to a great number of sites. An acceptable compromise between laborious manual submission and a completely automated process is a semi-manual tool that allows you to browse article sites as well as quickly submit articles to them. Article Submitter is an inexpensive semi-manual submitter that stores your article, personal information, and resource box as you visit each article site. When you're ready to submit your article, the software auto-fills the submission forms for you, eliminating the need for tedious copying and pasting. The whole process is very much like manual submission, only a lot faster.

Earning More In Domaining

The domain name industry is one of the most flourishing online industries. The industry flourishes on selling/buying domain names as a commodity. Today more and more companies are getting into domainig business.

It is the business of buying, selling, developing, and monetizing Internet domain names. The professionals dealing in domain names are known as Domainers. Domainers buy, sell, and develop domain names. In domaining, income comes through domain parking and development, as well as resale. Some professionals prefer the terms domain investing and domain investor to the terms domaining, domainer or domain speculator.

You can park the domain name with a parking service. These pay a percentage of the advertising revenue that is derived from the advertisements placed on a page showed when someone visits the domain. Most of these parking services also offer a sales listing service for enabling an easy resale marketing of the domain.

You can make your own park page; you only have to create own small website with the ads and then receive hundred percent of the revenue. However, it will not be much profitable as the parking services get more traffic flow.

You should create a small web site but that should be rich in content. Usually, these small sites are enriched with the articles and contextual advertisements from the Adsense, which are often known as AdsenseSites. You can develop a web site with complete features. These types of sites include selling services or products and also the paid links and advertisements.

While at the stage of development and value adding, make money by just reselling the Domain/ Site for a higher value above the purchase price. Here are the factors that gain value:

• Keywords and brand-ability of the name
• The number of web site visitor traffic
• Return from the website
• Current demand for similar names
• Current search engine ranking
• The number of web site linking to your website
• The interest of the buyer for the name

There are ways that can result in losing your money on domains; these include registering a trademarked name, paying too much for the domain name, or getting scammed by 'email' and other types of frauds.

While keeping these things in your mind, you can more money. You can also easily make money from domain investments using the smart ways of creating income stream or maximizing the resale value.

The 7 Step Challenge - Does Your Marketing Company Measure Up?

All companies are set up with one key goal in mind – to make money . Owners and investors put money into a company based on a business idea and plan. However, without continued and profitable sales they will fail.

It is essential that business owners realise how crucial it is to plan their sales and marketing effectively. This means understanding why people buy their products, who buys them, what problems purchasing those products solve, and what solving those problems enables the purchaser to do. Finally understanding how customers will put a value on the ownership of the product, as well as understanding the cost of not buying them.

In line with this, it is also very important to know the decision making process and also who their competitors are. This will impact the sales and marketing strategy, as well as pricing.

If you are not an experienced Sales or Marketing Manager, or indeed do not have the time to do everything yourself, you should look to investing in some services to compliment your own skill set. Below are some criteria, you should consider, before deciding on someone to help you generate additional business;

1. Experience – Do they have relevant experience in my type of business – Do they have satisfied customers?

2. Understanding – Do they understand what my issues and problems are - More importantly, do they understand my target market's issues?

3. Methodology – Do they follow and implement proven processes - Will they work for my business?

4. Measurement – Do they track all results - Can I see exactly what I am getting for my money?

5. Shared Risk – Do they work on a flat or fixed Fee - Or is their remuneration part based on my actual sales?

6. Credibility – Do they sound believable – Am I prepared to trust the future of my business with this firm?

7. Integrity – How honest are they with me – Are my customer contacts, plans and aspirations safe?

And finally

8. Passion – Do they have a passion to succeed in their own business, which will reflect on what they do for my Business?

Any engagement with an outside firm should be based on partnership. You need to share common values, and beliefs. While all businesses should operate to make a profit, there also needs to be a guiding principle of care and customer service.

Top Network Marketing Companies

Many of the more popular phrases requested from popular search engines are Network Marketing, Affiliate Programs, Top Network Programs, Residual Income and Best Affiliate Programs etc. These are just a few of the hundreds of similar phrases searched daily.

It appears to me that more an more people are looking to build on line businesses rather than just simply working from home for money. By that I mean they are desperately seeking to have a nice residual income while minimizing the hours put in long term. Everyone has dreams of sitting at home enjoying life or sitting on a beach somewhere while the money continues to flow in.

I have to say as a Work at Home web site owner it is nice to generate income while you sleep. In fact as I write this article I am sitting at South Padre Island, TX looking out the front windows of my bus (Big Motor Coach) looking at the Gulf of Mexico. It is so beautiful and relaxing. Often times when I'm writing articles such as these I will set out front and listen to the waves rolling in. It can happen for you too. Never give up on your dream. I cannot tell you the number of programs I tried before this one, but hey here my wife and I sit enjoying the beauty.

I have a couple of thoughts on building this type of business that I would like to share with you and they are as follows:

* It takes time and effort but it can and will work if you stick with it!
* It takes time because you have to find a system that will aid you in developing a down line
* You have to stick with it, because if you don't then you are not giving yourself a chance!
* You will need to support your affiliates, but you should find companies with a built in support system. The bottom line is you want your affiliates to be successful. If they are you will be too!
* It will take time before the money comes rolling in so you have to have a vision and lots of patience

My suggestion to people who email me is that you enroll in one of the many other Work at Home programs to create some income to fund your business and keep your spirits up. If you have a nice income coming in it will give you the incentive to create more.

When you join programs you need to spend the time actually reading the emails they send, reading the training materials so you understand the business and helping affiliates who trust you enough to sign up for you.

No once you have found a website that has researched the programs for you, select the programs you wish to join then you need to sign up affiliates under you. Here are some good ways to do that:

* Visit forums whereby, you can add your affiliate id in your signature.
* Poster, Fliers.
* You may need to create a website to advertise your programs. In fact one of the programs I highlight generates the initial income generating website for you plus it is an affiliate program.
* (PPC) Paid Per Click Advertising whereby you choose selective Key Words and bid on them. When someone type in your keyword and clicks on your ad you will be charged a minimal amount, but it brings people to your site.

Please feel free to read more of this article by visiting my link in the resource box below. I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles or my site. Your feedback is important to me.

In my opinion, you will need the following:

* Computer
* Printer
* Access to the Internet
* Phone
* Spell Check

Does Your Thank You Page Redirect People From Potential Profits?

When I began my newsletter, I needed a page to redirect my subscribers to once they signed up. Because I was in a rush to get it set up, I redirected them to the archives page of my newsletter.

Big Mistake #1.

When I had some free time I went back and made a thank you page that simply stated, "Thank you for subscribing. Your first issue will arrive shortly." and listed the archives.

Big Mistake #2

What I failed to realize when I set up those two pages is that I had my visitor's attention. They were already interested in what I had to say because I convinced them to sign up for my newsletter or eCourse and I let them get away. I missed an opportunity. I missed potential profits.

When I redesigned my thank you page I included the standard "thank you" and "make sure you look for your confirmation email". I also instructed them to make sure they added me to their safe senders list to ensure they receive my emails. But this time I included "You may also be interested in these additional free offers:" and listed a free eBook, the opportunity to sign up for a free eCourse, and information about my favorite business author – all using my affiliate links.

Guess what happened? When I checked my affiliate stats, my click through rate increased 100% in just two days. Every person who subscribed to my newsletter also subscribed to the free eCourse I offered. My affiliate sales for the three products I promoted have doubled.

I've been publishing my newsletter for five months and it makes me sick to think about how much money I've lost because I didn't take the time to talk to my visitors.

Do you know what's mind blowing? Not only did it take me 30 minutes to set up the new thank you page, it didn't cost me a dime. I already had all the information tucked away in my personal affiliate tool kit and was just too lazy to pull it out and put it to use.

Don't make the same mistakes. Take a look at the page you're redirecting your new subscribers to. Are you offering targeted product recommendations? Are you keeping them with you or just letting them close that window to possibly never return? Take thirty minutes of your time and the resources you already have available to you and update your redirect page.

The World At War: Protecting Your Overseas Holdings

Once upon a time, many years ago, the traditional wisdom was that war was good for business. In today's increasingly global economy, however, this saying is for the most part outdated and downright fool hearty. Particularly if you have -- or are considering -- expanding your business overseas, or have extensive holdings in foreign companies either through investments or direct partnerships, the current conflicts going on all over the world – and in the Middle East in particular – have the potential to negatively impact your profits, if they haven't already done so. Regardless of who is right or wrong in the various wars going on around the globe – or where you personally stand on the issues behind them – it is impossible to ignore their potential impact on your ability to profit from your international business ventures. Even if you have no holdings or business anywhere near a war zone, the potential for negative impact is still very real.

There really is no way to completely insulate your overseas business or investments from the negative impacts caused by war – any more than you can completely protect your own home from the damage that can be caused by a flood or a hurricane. The simple fact is that as you have no control over geopolitical events and conflicts, you are in many ways at their mercy. However, by identifying those things that can be potentially damaging to your business and taking steps to guard against them, it is possible to significantly limit your damage, and decrease your business' exposure.

A quick trip to the local gas station will show you perhaps the most readily visible impact these wars are having. In the United States, as we all know, gas prices have risen dramatically in the last 12 months – but the increases you see at your local gas station are nothing compared to the increases that have been seen in some parts of Europe, Asia and Australia. In Europe in particular – where petrol has traditionally been more expensive than it is in the United States – the effects are particularly ominous. Substantially higher gas and – with winter just around the corner – heating costs means less disposable income in the hands of the citizens which, in turn, will very likely mean a slowing in some segments of the economy. True, the same can certainly be said for the US economy as well, but it is important to remember that the United States has a higher per capita income than most European nations, and so the economic impact of higher oil prices will, in all likelihood, hit them harder. While quality generally has always – and in the long run probably will always – be more important to the average European customer than price, in the short term price is very likely to become a major issue in many of the European markets. Remaining aware of and updated on general consumer buying trends in the specific nations you are doing business in is a critical indicator for what direction you may be required to take your business in that country.

Another impact the wars around the globe can have on your business revolves around the political climate that exists in the country where you are doing business or have invested. As a quick look at CNN will likely point out, all the world does not share the United States' views on international matters – particularly wars. Particularly in Asia, South America, and some parts of Eastern Europe it is important to keep a close eye on the stands that the various governments are taking on the various wars, and remain very aware of any dramatic growth in anti-American Governmental sentiment. While certainly large segments of the governments of the European Union nations agree with US policies, it is also important to make certain that you understand how the people in the nations you are doing business in feel – as this is quite likely to be the same way that your partners there feel. Any major shift in feelings about the US as a whole by the population of a nation where you are doing business can dramatically effect the way you will need to conduct your business there.

As I write this article, all carry on luggage and liquids have been banned on all domestic and European flights from the United States, and Airline security stands at an unprecedented level of high alert. In the United States, it is suggested that you arrive at the airport four hours early for any overseas flight. The days when your travel time overseas could be combined with productive work time via your laptop and satellite internet connection are over for now and, while these restrictions are sure to be removed at some point, they will almost equally surely come back again. The simple fact is, international travel is becoming increasingly time consuming, inconvenient, unproductive and, in some cases, dangerous. Sad to say terrorism – and the threat of terrorist attacks particularly on Americans abroad – is a very real concern. Where it was once both practical and economical – and even a perk – to have your senior people travel to overseas operations, this is no longer always the case. Time, money, and peace of mind can be saved by either installing or upgrading computer networking platforms with your overseas offices and/or partners so that the majority of your business with them can take place via the internet. In the future, there is every reason to believe that the occasional trip to Rome, or London, or Paris will go back to being a "perk" for your top performers. However, until the world situation stabilizes again, in most cases your people's productive time can be better used at home rather than sitting for hours in an airport or on a plane.

There is nothing good about war, but history has taught us that wars always end – and the current conflicts raging around the globe will end as well. They can best be viewed – from a business standpoint at any rate – as a tragic inconvenience that needs to be analyzed, and then dealt with. By watching how trends change on a weekly – if not day by day – basis in the nations you are doing business with, as well having a finger on the pulse of the feelings of both the governments and the people of these areas, you will have the information you need to make informed decisions and limit your business' exposure. You do not have the ability to change the various geopolitical paradigms that account for wars, but you do have the ability to protect your business from the damage that those wars can cause!

Tools for the High Rolling Affiliate Marketer

What does it take to become a successful Affiliate Marketer? What are the ingredients of an affiliate marketing success story? Is there a shortcut to Affiliate Marketing glory? All these questions play around in the minds of affiliate marketers who want to make it big in this business.
Although affiliate marketing is touted as one of the easiest and most effective ways to earn money online, it is not as easy as it sounds. The wise affiliate marketer plans every action and executes it the best way he can. He should also maximize the potential to earn by utilizing the right tools necessary for a successful Affiliate Marketing business. We have consulted some of the most successful affiliate marketers in the business and below are the top three necessary tools for a successful affiliate marketing business.

Important Tool #1: Your Own Website

The most important and indispensable tool in Affiliate Marketing is your own website. The first step in any successful affiliate marketing business is building a good, credible and professional looking website. Your website is the jump off point of all your marketing efforts. Thus, you must first build a user-friendly website, which will appeal to your prospects and encourage them to click on the links to the products and service you are promoting and make a purchase. Therefore, you must first concentrate your efforts in building a website that will cater to what your prospects need.

The most important thing you should consider is that almost all web users go online to look for information, not necessarily to go and buy something. Above all else, make your website full of original, relevant and useful content. People will love articles that are appealing and helpful. Keep in mind that, in the internet, content is still king and good quality content will not only build your credibility, it can also help you achieve a higher search engine ranking. By posting relevant and useful articles, you establish yourself as a credible expert in the field, making you a more trustworthy endorser of the product or service you promote. Establishing a good reputation is a good step in building up a loyal consumer base.

Important Tool #2: Incentives

Most of this information comes straight from the Affiliate Marketer pros. Careful reading to the end virtually guarantees that you'll know what they know.

Competition is extremely tight in the internet world. You must always be one-step ahead of your rivals to ensure that you capture a significant share of your target market. Therefore, you must use every possible means to encourage people not only to visit your site but also to click and proceed to the websites of the products and services you are promoting. Building an opt-in email list is one of the best ways to gather prospects. Offer a newsletter or an e-zine. Better yet, offer incentives to your prospects to encourage them to subscribe to your newsletters. You can present free softwares, access to exclusive services and other freebies that will be helpful to your prospects.

Important Tool #3: Link Popularity

The importance of driving highly targeted traffic to your website cannot be emphasized enough. The all-important web traffic is at the top of the list of the most important entities in the internet world. Attracting people to your site should be the first step you should carry out. Do everything to achieve a high search engine ranking. Link Popularity is one of the factors that search engines use to determine search engine rankings. Therefore, to enhance your link popularity, you must launch an aggressive reciprocal link campaign.

One of the best ways to do this – at no cost at all – is by submitting articles, with your website's link at the resource box, to e-zines and free article sites. You will not only gain exposure, you will also have the opportunity to advertise for free, just include a link back to your site. The more sites you submit your articles to, the better your link popularity is. Make your articles original, relevant and useful so that more websites will pick it up and post it.

These are but three of the many tools that an affiliate marketer can use to maximize earning potential. The possibilities are endless and are limited only by your imagination, creativity, resourcefulness and determination. You can always explore other ideas and adapt other strategies, which you think might help you become a high rolling affiliate marketer.

Great Web Content - Higher Search Engine Rank

Here's a scenario you don't want to happen:
You've spent hours and hours researching the best most profitable keywords for your particular affiliate web page. You chose these keywords because they have good demand, people are searching these terms yet they are not so competitive that they are impossible to rank well for within the top 2 pages of Google MSN or Yahoo.

You've also gained a few quality inbound links via reciprocal link partners and writing a few relevant articles that have inbound links pointing at your target page.

The search engines have rewarded your efforts by giving you a top 20 listing this popular search term.

You notice an increase in traffic to this page. No doubt due to the exposure in the SE's.

After a few days you notice your page is dropped like a hot potato and your top 20 ranking is gone you're now on page 11 buried... never to be found!

Lets back track to see what might have happened.

1. Web surfer types in your popular term into the SE (MSN, Google…) (great!)
2. Your listing displays in the first two pages of search results (great!)
3. Visitor reads your description which seems relevant and decides to click and visit your page (great!)
4. Visitor enters your page and quickly leaves…(Not great!)

What happened?

You did everything correctly in leading the visitor to your page with good keywords and offpage optimization, but they left because your web content was not compelling, relevant or interesting enough to grab and keep their attention.

You will eventually lose SE rankings if the major SE's detect this pattern of visitor behavior, that is, where the visitor finds your site through legitimate keyword search yet quickly clicks back to the search results page and continues looking.

Why?

Because the SE's will deem your pages not relevant for that particular search term.
Remember, there is a correlation between web content - higher search engine rank and increased online traffic.

It is therefore critical to write compelling, interesting relevant content especially for affiliate type websites. Do not try to hard sell the affiliate products you are trying to get visitors to click on (your merchant site). Instead, pre-sell them with the best information stressing in real terms what the benefits are to the visitor. You want them to willingly click on the merchant link with an " open to buy " mentality.

There is an art to writing content to pre-sell your visitors…

Here are a few tips:

Stress the Benefits Early

What you say will greatly effect if the person stays or leaves your web page. This seems like the most obvious thing yet so many web sites get it wrong. You must quickly within the first few seconds (remember this is internet time) establish the benefit of whatever your page is promoting…and how it is useful to the visitor.
Leave the "I " and "About Us" pages out of site until the visitor has gained trust looking for what they want whether you're providing information or actual products.

Read Your Page From the Visitors Perspective

Sure you understand what you are saying, you wrote it! But is it really clear to a first time visitor? Strive to make the complex sound simple…that's what communicating is really about. Hopefully your website topic or theme isn't about something inherently complex however you still need to stand back and reread it.
Don't assume the visitor has great knowledge about what you are writing about so don't leave things out that you think are unimportant. Make sure you define any jargon or industry related terms that may confuse the visitor.
Make sure your content flows logically. Avoid the scattered thought syndrome where ideas are all over the page. Reread.
Make sure your page navigation is consistent from page to page. If the visitor gets lost a good site map can solve this problem; make sure this link is included with your main navigation.

Where To Buy Your Domain Name

Do you need a domain name for your business? Here are just a few ways of purchasing one.

1. Think Up and Register Your Own Original Domain Name

Think up your own original name and register it at a domain name registrar. Although this seems obvious, many people feel that all the good domain names are already taken.

It is true that it won't be easy to come up with a suitable name that has not already been registered. However, with some careful thought, you may come up with your own original domain name.

For example, I once was going to buy a certain domain name but someone else beat me to it. Upon reflection, I came up with a comparable (if not better) domain name myself and simply registered it.

2. Buy Already Expired Domain Names

Sometimes you can find the domain name you want from a list of already expired domain names. (I did!)

Visit whois.net (or a similar site) to "Search through deleted domains" by keyword.

This way you pay no commission (just the nominal domain name registration fee) as you are simply registering a "new" domain name.

3. Buy Domain Names on hostgator

Another source of domain names is eBay. Look under both of these categories:

Computers & Networking: Other Hardware & Services: Domain Names; and

Business & Industrial: Websites & Businesses For Sale: Internet Businesses, Websites.

4. Approach the Domain Name Registrant

Perhaps the name you want has already been registered by someone else. Why not approach the domain name owner and make an offer? The owner's contact information may be available on their website or from the domain name registrar.

5. Search the Internet

Visit domain name brokers, for sale and classified sites, forums, newsgroups, expiring domain names websites, search engines, auction sites, and other websites to find your domain name.

These, then, are just a few suggestions on where to buy your domain names.

Building sales can be a day at the beach if you do it right

After years of hard work, you'd like a vacation. Maybe even that snorkeling trip to Cozumel you've been promising yourself since the day you went into business. But you can't. And business isn't the vacation it once was either.

You put in all that hard work to get your business off the ground, but it hasn't gotten easier, especially when it comes to finding new customers. And you aren't getting any closer to dipping your toes in the ocean than you ever were.

The good news, however, is the trip is still possible. And so is a business that runs like a dream. You just need to stop spending so much time chasing business and let it come to you instead.

The solution is to create marketing systems that work over and over again to fill the pipeline with prospects and convert more of them to customers. And don't forget the most important part – to get better at managing your existing customers. They're the solid gold of your business.

One of your best tools for an integrated selling and customer management system is CRM – customer relationship management software that does it all, so you don't have to. Just plug it in, sit back and let the automated processes reap better results than you ever managed during those 20-hour days. Because, after all, we don't want to lose sight of that sandy beach.

Let's take a closer look at life with a good CRM software program.

In order to fill the lead pipeline, you need to create marketing and selling systems to attract new clients. In a virtual environment, this means you enter your lead information into the software and let it generate pre-written emails and letters for follow-up.

With all that plum marketing, you're sure to make sales. Without a system, however, that might be as far as you get – you make the sale and then the client is history. Which means you're wasting one of the most valuable resources a small business has – the relationship. Studies show that 80% of your sales will come from 20% of your customers. Hence, it's easier to build revenue with follow-up than by finding new customers.

To maintain the customer relationships and take advantage of the power of referrals, use CRM to create client systems that automatically communicate with your customers. For example, after each sale, the software can send follow-up pieces requesting referrals, testimonials and can, based on the clients buying history, up-sell and cross-sell your company's other products.

Bottom line, don't try to do it all. Use software to work harder so you can hit the beach. In fact, using CRM, especially if your company is customer-focused, allows you to not only work less but get BETTER results than you ever did on the fly. Your customers consistently come to you, rather than you having to chase them down.

SEO on-page off-page

Keywords are intrinsically related to search terms – words and phrases that people enter into a search engine to find specific information. Most people enter 2 to 5-word phrases in Google to find what they are looking for. Google in turn analyzes all pages in its index and lists the pages which contain those search terms. Each web page usually contains one or two keywords that are repeated more often than others throughout the site. These keywords dictate the "theme" of a website.
In addition, Google analyzes other sites that contain links to your site. Specifically, Google looks to see if the text of a link (the clickable portion) that points to your site also contain those same keywords.
Page importance is all about links - their quantity, quality, and strength, which we will discuss later on. This part of the algorithm includes Google PageRank (PR).
Google looks for links that point to your site from other websites. Google believes a link from website A to website B is a "vote" for the importance of website B. In this way, other websites add votes for your website, which in turn helps increase a pages PageRank value on your site. Each page on your site has a PR value. Usually the PR value is the highest for the home page as most people will link to your home page rather than another page on your site.
The more web pages that link to your site, and the more important in turn those pages are, the more important Google thinks your site is and hence the higher your PageRank value. Moreover, it is the quality, as well as the quantity, of links that
matter – not all links are valued the same. Keep in mind that PageRank is but a single (albeit important) factor used in ranking.
Sites that are highly optimized for on-page factors can outrank sites that are less optimized but have higher PageRank.
PageRank value is assigned after comparing every page in the Google index against one another. This is billions and billions of web pages.
Note that PageRank does NOT factor in keywords or phrases used on your site.

Website Marketing Strategies - Increasing Your Link Popularity

In this days search engine rankings have become one of the most important issues for a website. Because of that the major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN frequently update their algorithms in order to deliver best results to their users. The most important factor in a search engine's ranking algorithm is link popularity.
Link popularity is defined as the number of links that point to a site. The search engines consider this links as some kind of votes in the sites favor. Some time ago it didn't matter what kind of links pointed to your site. So every webmaster linked their sites to any other site not considering it's nature. Link exchange was the best website marketing strategies in those times. But now, the search engines updated their algos and they investigate every "vote".
Link popularity remains a major factor in the search engine's way of ranking but what's more important this days is the quality of the links. When the search engine spider crawls, it investigates all the incoming links to see if they are good "votes" or bad "votes". When everybody was making reciprocal links only the number was important. But this reciprocal links are not so powerful any more because search engines are looking for links on related sites with related content that are not placed their just for receiving a link back. The spider wants to find out if that link is placed there because of the quality of the site is pointing to.
So increasing your link popularity is still the best website marketing strategy but try to get only good links from related sites. This way you'll benefit from the direct targeted traffic and you'll have good search engine positioning too.
There are many ways to get quality links. The best would be acquiring one way links. If the inbound links are one way then the search engine will know from the beginning that the links are not a result of an agreement between two webmasters. You can achieve one way links by writing good articles and distribute them for reprinting over the net, having great content on your site, writing testimonials for products that you used or even purchasing them. Reciprocal links are still good but try to trade your links only with sites with similar topics and trust worthy sites.
In conclusion increasing your link popularity with good legit links will boost your site's traffic in no time.

Buying Long Domain Names? Is it worth it?

The long held wisdom is that domain names should be short and memorable. Of course, it is great when you can get a short name that really works for your business but sometimes that is tough. So why not go for a longer one?

The idea that domain names must be short is not as valid as it once was. There are many successful web sites that have long domain names such as FreeCreditReport.com. This article will teach you when it is okay to buy a long domain name and why you would want to.

The Long and Short of Domain Names
Long domain names are a good way to go when your Web site is only going to generate traffic from online advertising such as Google's AdWords or natural search engine results. On the Internet people find your site by clicking on hyperlinks which already have your Web site's domain name typed in for them. So if you have a long domain name it is already there for your visitor and they do not have to remember it.

For example, suppose you own a Web Hosting Company and you specialize in offering cheap web hosting. Why not call your site CheapWebSiteHosting.com? It's long but it communicates a lot to the customer and perhaps even more valuable is that it will communicate important information to search engines about your site. How you ask?

Search engines use the words in your domain name as one method of discovering what your web site is about and they use that information to help determine where to rank you in the search results list. So if you have the words "cheap web site hosting" in your domain name then search engines will use that information to possibly rank you higher than a domain name that does not contain those words.

So, if your business is tightly focused on cheap hosting anyway you might as well use those words in your domain name if it means that search engines will match you better than those sites without those keywords in their domain name.

Domain Names in Mass Media
What about non-internet marketing? Are long domain names okay for radio or television? The answer is yes as long as it can be remembered. If you watch tv at all I'm sure you've seen ads for freecreditreport.com. That's a pretty long domain name considering not too long ago you needed to have a name like amazon.com or eBay.com to be viable. But even as I am writing this the domain name freecreditreport.com came to mind instantly. Thats a pretty good domain name for a long one. In our sample scenario, I would say that a site called cheapwebsitehosting.com will be remembered by people who have an interest in saving money on hosting. The key is to put together words in your domain name that flow naturally. "Cheap Web Site Hosting" is natural English. But WebSiteHostingCheap.com would almost certainly be a problem in the mass media.

So, should you go for a long domain name next time you buy a domain name? That will ultimately depend on whether you can get a short version that you find suitable and how important the slight edge in search engine results is worth to you. But at least you can keep these factors in mind you buy a domain name. You just may find that a long domain name is a reasonable way to go for your business.

Server Side Programming Languages

Server-side programming languages are scripts that are executed on the server, and are then translated into HyperText Markup Language (HTML) which can be viewed by all web browsers. The two most popular server-side scripting languages are PHP: Hypertext Processor and Active Server Pages (ASP). Additionally, there are numerous other languages like AJAX and Coldfusion.

PHP can run on both Unix and Windows servers, which makes it more accessible than its Windows counterpart, Active Server Pages (ASP). Most full-service web design firms will have at least one PHP guru.
PHP uses are widespread, and can include any kind of server functionality that takes user's input and displays or manipulates the input. Some pertinent examples of such work are message boards, auction sites, shopping carts, and more. There are numerous free (open-source) scripts out there for PHP newbies to use. This synopsis is meant to serve only as a gateway to other works; although the main goal is to give a reader enough information so they can make educated decisions about what their web developer should do. For those looking to get into PHP, there are many free tutorials and primers out there: http://www.4webhelp.net/tutorials/php/basics.php is a pertinent example.
PHP generally uses the mySQL database system. MySQL is a server-side system that is included on many Unix, and some Windows servers.

On the other hand, Active Server Pages runs - for the most part - solely on Windows servers. This can cause some problems. Windows hosting or private servers generally cost more than Unix servers, making it less accessible than PHP. Like PHP, ASP can do just about anything. There are considerably fewer open-source scripts written in ASP, another testament to its inaccessibility.

ASP can use many different database systems. Many users prefer Microsoft Access. Access, unlike MySQL, offers a what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) editor as part of Microsoft's Office suite. In fact, you may already have a copy of Microsoft Access on your computer and not even know it. Its uses aren't limited to databasing, it's also used as a basic spreadsheet application for those who need a more programmer-friendly environment than Excel. ASP can also work well with MSSQL or MySQL.

A third programming language with burgeoning popularity is Asynchronous Javascript and XML. AJAX, as it's commonly referred to, creates interactive web programs just like its cousins ASP and PHP. AJAX uses XHTML and CSS, along with the Javascript Document-Object Model to create interactive pages designed for speed and overall usability. Although AJAX hasn't gained the acclaim of PHP and ASP, its future is certainly bright.

It's difficult to say which of the three programming languages, or the numerous others for that matter, is the best. There will always be disputes, and no standard is set. With the varying interpretations of what a programming language should be, predilections to PHP or ASP arise. PHP is certainly more widely used, but isn't necessarily the best. When a site is being created to be interactive, a professional can give an educated opinion on which technology should be used.

How a Tripler JSS?

1. Free Member (SURE 150% Profit) The purpose of the Free Member here is the Member who does not do JSS Tripler Upgrade ($ 15/3bulan) in the main program JustBeenPaid (JBP).
Once you register in JustBeenPaid earlier, then automatically you are already a Free Member at Tripler JSS. Although as a Free Member, but you can already make a profit by buying positions (stocks) at Tripler JSS. Price 1 Position / Shares = $ 10. You can buy how many positions you want. (Maximum purchase 250 positions per 60 minutes or up to 500 positions per day)

Each position you buy MUST get a profit of 2% per day each at 6 pm for 75 days (including Saturday and Sunday). The final result SURE 2% of total profit = 150% x 75hari

On day-75, Position you buy is ripe / mature / charred, no longer generate profit. You can re-buy the position of the money you earn profit was 150% to be able to increase your income every day. But remember, you do not have to wait until the period of 75 days to be able to buy more positions.

Examples of 150% Profit:
You buy four positions positions = 4 x $ 10 = $ 40
Every day you will get a profit of 2% of each position you have = $ 10 x 2% = $ 0.2
Total Profit 4 positions = $ 0.2 x 4 positions = $ 0.8 per day for 75 days = $ 60 on day-75
It seems less attractive, yes, because with $ 40 just to profit $ 60 after 75 days.

Eits wait a minute! Remember, there are compounding here. You can re-purchase position using earnings. Each collected $ 10 in balance, use it to buy a new position. I demonstrated again, say you buy 20 positions valued at $ 200, then every day you will get $ 4. Well, the day-to-3 alone are $ 12 at Tripler JSS your balance, then you can use $ 10 of it to buy a new position (the remaining $ 2). So the sheer number of your positions to 21 positions and on day four daily commission was increased to $ 4.2. So forth until you can do compounding is considered sufficient (up to you alone, but do not forget to withdraw should not compounding continues hehe ..).

How much profit you earn, Depending on How many positions do you buy
Buy a position worth $ 10 = Your Profit $ 0.2 per day
Buy 10 positions valued at $ 100 = Your Profit $ 2 per day
Buy 100 positions valued at $ 1000 = Profit you $ 20 per day
Buy 1000 Positions $ 10,000 = $ 200 per day Your Profit

Search Engine Optimization: Four Vital Steps For Optimizing Your Website

There is a bit of confusion about search engine optimization. Some people think that SEO (the abbreviated form) is nothing more than tricking search engines into giving a high ranking for a particular site. Others think that search engine optimization is so complex that they could not possibly understand it. Neither of these views are correct. Search engine optimization is best defined as the art and science of building web pages that are both search engine friendly and user friendly. Below are four basic steps that you should take when optimizing your web pages.

1. Your web design should emphasize text and not graphics.

"Search engine friendly" means that search engines should be able to find data on your site that they can put in their data bases. While a picture may be worth a thousand words, a search engine is trying to classify pages by text and not by images. If you have an opening page with a beautiful picture of the sea and only two words of text saying "enter here" then this page will not rank high in searches for Florida Vacations. Similarly if you have a headline with important text containing your site's keywords it should not be displayed as a gif or jpeg image. Pages that are all flash or all images are not search engine friendly, and often are not user friendly as well.

2. Links to your interior pages should be easily found by search engines

An important thing to remember is that you want not only your main page, but all of your interior pages to be included in the search engine index. While most people will probably enter your site through the main page, many will enter after doing searches which lead them to your inner pages. The best way to make sure that search engines will find and index your inner pages is to include text links to these pages. If you have navigation system which uses Java script or images, then it is best to add an additional text link navigation bar at the bottom of the site to ensure that the robot follows the links to your inner pages.

3. Your pages should be built around specific keywords or keyword phrases

Robotic search engines and human users have one thing in common: they are trying to figure out what your site or your particular web page is all about. It is not possible to get high rankings for thirty different search terms with only one web page. However it is possible to build separate web pages which explain and give importance to various aspects of your organization's activity. These sub pages can be optimized so that they perform well in searches for your various keywords.

4. Once your material is organized, then your keywords should appear in strategic portions of your web pages

If your site is about Florida Vacations, then these words should appear in the following places of your html pages:

a. In the file name or the url.

If your site is called www.floridavacations.com then this will give you a head start in any searches for this term. Similarly if your company is called XYZ Travels you may have a web page with this url: www.xyztravels.com/floridavacations.html

The url or file name is an important indicator to a search engine, so don't miss the opportunity to put your important term either in your main domain name or in your file names.

b. In the title tag

The text that is displayed in the blue line at the top of your browser is your title tag. The title tag is located in the section of the document. If your main phrase is "Florida Vacations" then the title tag in your html document should look something like this: Florida Vacations: Florida Vacation Information by XYZ travel

c. In the Description tag

The description tag is not seen on the web page but search engines often display it as the text which gives the searcher an idea of what your page is about. The description tag should be compelling, and make someone want to click and see your page, while also containing the keywords that are in your url and your title tag. A description tag for this site might look as follows:

d. In the headlines

Just as someone reading a newspaper looks at headlines to find out what is important, a search engine robot looks at the headlines of a web page in order to pick up the essential feature of that page. Put your main phrase in a headline and place it near the top of the page. Your headline text should be enclosed with special header tags such as , , . A headline tag for our hypothetical page could be written as follows: Florida Vacations: Plan Your Vacation Now And Save Money or Accommodations, Entertainment and Transport in Florida

If you don't like the look of the h1 tag, then use a smaller tag, h2 or h3, or adjust your site
's style sheet so that the h1 tag is displayed in a small font which better matches your body text.

e. In the body text of your page

Your main keywords or key phrase should appear in the first paragraph of text and in a natural way throughout the text and also at the end of the page. In normal writing you would first introduce your subject, then explain what it is about and then summarize at the end. Follow this same procedure when you start writing your web page. Pages written in this style will automatically have correct keyword density and distribution.

f. In anchor text on your page

Anchor text is the clickable portion of links on your web page. Suppose you are describing your Florida Vacations and you want to direct your web visitors to an inside page with more information about this subject. Instead of making a link that says "click here," it would be better to have a link that says "Click here for more information about Florida Vacations" or even better, the link text will only be "Florida Vacations" and the "click here" will be rendered as normal text.If you follow these search-engine-optimization steps when building your website you will end up with web pages that are easily understood by your visitors, and easily classified and indexed by search engines.

Maximalization search engine

How A Ghost With A Blue Ball Can Boost Online Marketing

What does online marketing have to do with a ghost? Plenty. Read this and you will see why. The memory still unsettles me whenever I think back to that night.

The experience taught me that to write about a product, you have to see it at work. You will see how this can help you, also. But first, here is what happened that night.

It was November - almost 3 years ago. My friend and client, Guido, asked me to write a sales letter and a couple of ads for him. He ran a ghost busting business.

It struck me as hard to make money chasing ghosts out of people's houses but he made a good living. Guido convinced me that I had to get a feel for his business. So, he asked me to accompany him on a job.

I agreed and found myself the following Thursday night with him and his girlfriend, Erin, in the home of an art gallery owner. The owner and his family were away and the place smelled of stale smoke and chrysanthemums. We were alone – or almost alone.

The ghost, Guido explained, was a child who had died in the house 60 years before. He would come back looking for toys. Guido led us to the dining room where he set up his equipment. The only toy I saw was a blue ball under the sideboard that belonged to the owner's young son.

Guido half opened the door leading to the cellar and turned out the lights. We sat on the floor in the dark wearing night-vision goggles and waited.

It happened a little after 1 a.m. The blue ball hurtled from under the sideboard, hit the table leg and bounced back. I heard a click from Guido's equipment and the ball stopped short. After a few minutes of stillness, the ball darted forth again. This time, it zigzagged along the wall.

Erin and I exchanged a quick glance and I strained to see what was causing the ball to move. I could only imagine some unseen little feet kicking it and scurrying after it. Again, Guido's equipment clicked and kept on clicking. The ball rolled out the cellar door and bounced down the steps.

It was over.

Guido didn't explain how he did it, but assured us the little ghost would not be back - ever. I ran my hand over the bare floor where the ball had been. I was feeling for wires or string, suspecting that Guido had rigged the whole thing. But I found nothing.

I didn't go to bed when I got home. Instead, I wrote an account of the ghost. I also wrote the sales letter and ads for Guido. The words rolled off my fingertips like raindrops. I set the scene of what it was like to be in the same room with a ghost.

In writing about Guido's service, I tried to make the readers feel the same things I had. I brought all my senses into it – touch, smell, hearing, sight and taste.

I learned another lesson from that experience that may help you. The lesson is this: write the sales letter for your online marketing right after you see the product at work. That makes your words fresh and urgent.

Oh, and about the little ghost: Guido told me he didn't stay in the cellar. He disappeared and Guido knows in his heart that some loving arms welcomed him back into that "in-between world" that ghosts call home.

For Automated Sites - PHP and MySQL Are A Perfect Match

You've decided to automate your website. Now what? Here are some ideas to help you choose how to automate your site.
A bit of programming is going to be necessary if you want to automate a site. There are many types of programs that can be used to automate a web site including JavaScript, PHP, Perl, ASP, Java and more. So, which do you use? For many, it is a personal choice.
I prefer PHP for programming. PHP is a particularly useful programming language because it allows for advanced programming and is easy to integrate with web pages. Another plus of PHP is that the language interfaces very well with MySQL, a popular type of online database.
Yet another plus of PHP is that it is Open Source Code. The actual code that is PHP is available to the public for free, while the source code for products such as ASP are not. Because PHP is open source, there is a large community of PHP programmers that help each other with code. This means PHP programmers can rely on each other by using reusable pieces of code called functions and classes rather than constantly reinventing the wheel. This can dramatically cut down on production time.
Overall, PHP is flexible, cheaper than many alternatives, and built around a community. PHP and MySQL are excellent choice for webmasters looking to automate their web sites.
What Can PHP and MySQL do for me? Just about anything you can think of. That is the beauty of custom programming. A few ideas of what you can do with a PHP and MySQL driven site include:
1. E-commerce
2. User Polls
3. Keyword Tracking
4. Set User Preferences
5. Manage Password Protected Member's Areas
6. Lead Follow Up
7. Customer Relations
8. Content Management
9. Email Newsletters
10. Accounting
11. Invoicing
12. Scheduled Updates
The list is limited only by your imagination. Once you have decided to go with a PHP and MySQL site, you can either get a custom program created, use a prepackaged version or a combination of both. Many PHP and MySQL programs that come prepackaged are easy to customize and can save you a lot of time and money over starting from the ground up.

NETWORK

An intranet is basically a private web based network. It uses all of the technology of the internet but is safe and protected behind a firewall that keeps unauthorized personnel out. Companies have been using them for years as a method of streamlining their internal communications.

Because a web browser can run on any type of computer, the need to maintain multiple paper copies of documents that are constantly changing can be eliminated. Documents like training manuals, internal phone books, procedure manuals, benefits information, employee handbooks, requisition forms, etc. can be maintained as electronic documents and updated at almost no cost. The savings in paper and other material costs can be significant

But the most powerful aspect of an intranet is its ability to display information in the same format to every computer being used. That allows all of the different software and databases a company uses to be available to all employees without any special equipment or software being installed on their systems.

This universal availability of information is sparking an era of collaboration unlike anything ever seen before. The departmental barriers that exist in many companies are slowing breaking down because now colleagues can share information readily using the company intranet.

Options for implementing an intranet

There are a variety of options for setting up an intranet. They include building your own intranet technology, purchasing and installing third-party software, or purchasing access through an extranet ASP. Here is a quick summary of the advantages and disadvantages of each approach:

1. Building it yourself
Advantages: Complete control of user interface design; ability to customize level of functionality; integration into internal systems, and direct access to user activity.

Disadvantages: High up-front development cost; requires staff expertise in the development of extranets, commitment of internal staff for 6 months to a year for planning, execution, review and implementation; and an ongoing commitment of internal staff for internal and client support, hosting, maintenance and upgrades.

2. Purchasing/installing third-party software
Advantages: Proven track-record of packaged solution; ability to choose functions and to
customize user interface, more rapid implementation compared to building it yourself.

Disadvantages: High up-front purchase cost; commitment of internal staff for customization and implementation; on-going commitment of internal staff for internal and client support, hosting, maintenance and upgrades; and extensive internal and client training

3. Using a Service Provider (ASP)
Advantages: Proven track-record of the application; low cost of entry and predictable cost over time; virtually immediate implementation; no commitment of internal staff for internal support, hosting, or maintenance; and upgrades at no cost by extranet experts, and savings on internal server use.

Disadvantages: Less freedom in user interface design, and fixed functionality.

In the final analysis…
The approach you choose depends on how you work, the technical and financial resources at your disposal, and how rapidly you need to move forward.

Web design

When we review the sites of potential clients, there are 2 mistakes we see over and over. If you are having problems with your site, make sure these 2 problems aren't killing you.

traffic
Just because you think something is a good idea doesn't mean the general public agrees. A website should solve a problem that is common to some part of the population. If people have a problem, they will be compelled to find an answer to it. If they don't, they are not going to visit your site for anything other than browsing. Browsing doesn't pay the bills!

Do the research on Overture or your favorite tool. If there isn't a significant amount of monthly searches for your topic, move on to another one. If you think you can both alert people to a problem and solve it, you are in for a difficult time. It can be done, but your chances of success are pretty small.

Database Parameters

If you have a database driven site, you absolutely must get control of the sub-domains. Examples of database sites include sites selling products or providing some version of a listing service such as real estate or jobs. Programmers and designers have a bad habit of putting session ids in the sub-domains.
The problem with dynamic domains concerns search engine robots. A robot is designed to recognize the meta tags and content of a page. The robot will then include the page in the search database. Robots often refuse to index dynamic pages because the robot cannot predict the content on the page. From the robot's view, the page could show different things each time it is accessed. As a result, the search engines can't list it under any particular keyword with any confidence that the content will be relevant to the search. If you have dynamic pages, most of the pages of your site will never appear in Google, Yahoo and MSN. That's a disaster.

Planning is the key to setting up a profitable e-commerce site. Make sure you are solving a known problem and set your site up to be friendly to the search engine robots.

Blogging

Everybody has picked up the trend of blogging. And blogging has picked up the money-making scheme.
If you have a blog and have not used that to make money online, then you are being left behind by the others who are already making some good profits from blogs.

How do they do that?

Selling advertising though blogs.

This is the most common ways of making blogs produce income. The process is simple. If your blog is one of those more famous and well-read, you can it to sell ad space all by yourself. But for those not so famous blogs, there are services that can be used to set up an ad program. The widely used one is Adsense.

Adsense lets you choose some ads that are somewhat related to what your site is about. You are then paid based on the number of the readers that clicked on the ads to check them out. Why people opt for Adsense is because they can get it for free.

Blogs as an affiliate program.

This is another one of those click-through opportunities. This allows blogs to serve as a medium between the affiliate sites and the readers. When a visitor became interested on something that you have promoted on your blogs, they can click on the link that you have provided that will lead directly to the affiliate site.

Once the customer has decided to buy or avail of what is offered, you will get a commission based on the sale made.

Soliciting though blogs.

As opposed to the first two mentioned, you are not offering something to your readers. On the contrary, you are counting on their kindness and seeking out their help. You can ask for contributions, whether money or goods, for a certain cause.

If your readers are taken or is moved by what you have written, there is a likely possibility that they will be more than willing to help you.

Blogging to market

Blogs are a way of generating new businesses and getting potential customers. If you already have a product or service being offered, you can try and offer more and new things though blogs.

They can be your own or in reference to other site or business that you want to offer your readers.
With the publicity that blogs are getting nowadays, there is no doubt that it has become one of the most effective income generating tool online today.

Marketing Secrets for Small Business Owners

If you're a Small Bussines owner, you're probably wondering where you can get the biggest bang for the buck with your marketing dollars. As a veteran marketing professional and small business owner myself, I understand the importance of making the most from a limited marketing budget.

The good news for today's small business owner is that the Internet and local advertising can provide targeted reach at a reasonable cost. In particular, email, Internet marketing, and classified advertising, can generate huge returns for your business.

• Email  Marketing. Each year, nearly 20 billion emails are sent to consumers and businesses. As many as 60 percent of these emails are considered SPAM and about 20% are automatically tagged as such – making their way into the SPAM mailbox of your everyday email client.

However, what most email marketers fail to tell you is that the most productive email solicitations don't come from businesses, they come from word-of-mouth or viral marketing. Viral marketing is the practice of telling others about a positive experience with a brand, product or service.

As a small business owner, you can take advantage of email marketing by simply encouraging those who receive your emails to forward them to a friend. Also, tag your web pages with a "tell a friend" button which allows for easy emailing of a web page, URL, PDF, or related document. These features cost little or nothing to implement and can generate impressive

• Internet Marketing  Often the topic of Internet marketing scares off small business owners. However, Internet marketing itself can be an effective tool if leveraged appropriately. There are a variety of Internet marketing mediums. These option  include "pay-for" Internet marketing options such as Google AdSense, the Yahoo! Directory and so on as well as free or cost neutral options.

In Internet marketing, there are a couple of techniques that are highly effective and cost little or nothing to implement. The first and most popular is article marketing. Are you a subject matter expert? If you are, provide articles to other well known websites that can get your company name and URL out there. This can be done for free and provides the added benefit of having other sites link to your website, increasing your site's link popularity scores.

The second Internet marketing strategy that can drive you business is an affiliate program. At its most basic level, an affiliate program allows other website or companies to sell your products and receive a commission. Explore affiliate programs that can help distribute your products or services.

• .Clasified Advertising Still one of the best and most affordable ways to sell your product, classified advertising can be effective if you run your ad for multiple weeks. For as little as $30 per week or less, you can get your company name, product, website, or other unique identifier in front of a local audience.

Weekly papers are especially good if you are targeting a small area. These local papers are also well read – often cover to cover. So, if you want to advertise, forget the large display ads, magazine ads, or anything that costs more than 100$. Spend your money on classified ads and measure the response.

Marketing doesn't have to break the bank for the small business owner. In fact, it should be seen as an important way to drive revenue for your business. If you have little or no money to spend on marketing, be sure to take advantage of email marketing, Internet marketing, and classified ads to drive the success of your business. Also, make sure that everything you distribute (letters, invoices, business cards, and even your voicemail) mentions your company name and website.
